I'm back from burma...I'm not in the mood to write..but if i enter my room...I'ill be remembering Burma and end up feeling miserable. So to keep mind of it...here's a lil' journal of my Burmese vacations.
I'm sure most of you are interested of quake...so...here's my experiance that day.

Burma panics!
Well, its sunday morning(duh!)at 7:30am..I was half awake..but too lazy to wake up.I was sleeping at the 6th floor of my British era 6-floors house. That house is quite old..so when someone jumps or run on the 6-th or 5th floor, you can feel the floor shaking at both those floors(the others floors are stable).Anyway, I felt the floor shaking..i thought my brother was jumping on that floor for some reason...then suddenly, my mom came up from the 5th floor yelling 'Afzal, wake up quick! We've to run to a safe ground!'So..I stood up...and sure enough..it was an earth quake, I can barely stand up straight...the door was banging on itself, the pictures on the wall were vigurously shaking.I heard some people at the apartment building behind my house yelling in panic...and others were running down their high rise apartment.I just reached the staircase when the quake stopped.I was feeling dizzy the whole day...so did all others who experienced it.But for people who didnt noticed the quake(eg:ppl asleep)..they didnt get that feeling. The water tank, which was innitially full, after the quake, the water level fall 20 cm!
Then, there was a few aftershocks i didnt realised like a weak quake while i was asleep at 3am on tuesday and another one at 6am on wednesday.
Yesterday, word spread that there's gonna be another quake at 6pm.No one on Theinbyu Road(where my house is) knows about it...but else where...it was like a war zone!..People were flocking to the Kandawgyi Nature Park. They had with them clothings and all!Anyway,my aunty suddenly came home and asked everyone to go to the safe ground...they did...but i went off to the masjeed for Maghrib.(i didnt believe in that rumour anyway) By the time i got back fromt he masjeed, things had calmed down...so we went back in to our house...the others still linger on the streets to be sure Kandawgyi Nature Park made a lot of money that day!And this morning, just before i left to there airport..there was a weak quake.

Bogoke Zay (Scott Market) Sales Fair Turns into Turmoil
This happened on the 21th december...It was the final day of sales fair at scott market(a tourist attraction). My granduncle dropped my mom, aunt, bro and I off at about 100m from the market coz there's sucha a traffic conjestion at the market area.Time for Zhur was almost going to be over..so i told my mom that I and my bro will quickly go to the mosque to pray zhur..and that we'ill rendezvous at my aunt's shop in the market. On the way to the mosque...it was so crowded..I thought thats how it look on the final day of the sales fair.I went to the Choolia Mosque...it was closed because its past 2:30pm(mosques close during such times to avoid awara(homeless people) from sleeping in the mosque.)...But it didnt detered me...even though i hardly know Yangon well...but I know that in Yangon, there's a mosque in every corner(amazing huh?).So i walked on..in search of a mosque..I met a mosque..but it was a Ismaili Khoja Mosque(shi'a)...then i met another Mosque...but its a Dawoodi Bowra Mosque(Shi'a)...then...I reached a Sunni mosque,Narsapuri Moja Mosque. The front door was closed but i found a small entrance to it...so..I prayed Zhur...and went back to the market.I tried to enter the Market from the west wing...but the flyover bridge was too packed with ppl..so..I went to the end of the street to enter the market from the East wing. The East Gate was closed..so was the Main Gate...Everyone was runing here and there..carrying there properties..the shop keepers were also packing(despite the fact that its still 3pm and the fair only ends at 10pm)..that when i met the lady from the shop net to my aunt's shop. She said..."Go back home, there's an explosion in the market, your aunty has gone back too, no one is allowed to enter the market"*glup*I panick...what was i to do...I was suppose to met my mom at my aunt's shop..now i cant even enter the market! Then I remembered that my granduncle said he'ill pick us up at the west gate..so i walked to the west gate...the crowd was so messy..if i were to slip there, a stampede was inevitable! And the police were everywhere, yelling and shouting!And...Alhamdulillah,I met my mom waiting for me at the front of the West gate.from there,I saw a young man, innocently enough, walked up the flyover bridge...and the police draged him down, started beating him..*glup*..now, i'm freaked out! While waiting for my grand uncle, my mom had a convo with a man nearby. He's a tea company owner. At one point he admitted that it was the Senior General Than Shwe(burma's president) that asked him to promote his tea at the fair..and that he called earlier(before the "bomb news" broke out) to ask the man to pack and leave asap! Then he softly whispered to mom,,,"The current situation in Burma is very unstable, leave soon, you shouldnt have came at the first place"...:nervous:Then my granduncle arrived.and we went home.My grandpa was a bit angry we got ourselves into trouble! But he cooled down!My aunty(who has a shop in the market) later said...it was actually a cooker explosion at a cafe nearby..and that only 2 ppl got injured. But the state run newspaper the next day reads "National League for Democracy and National Coalition Government of the Union Of Burma plants bomb in Scott Market to creat national unstability"Ps:those two groups are anti government groups led by Aung San Suu Kyi..but..no one believes in the state run neswspapers anyway!
