Nostalgic Pots

Salaamaleykum wrbt.

that day i was talking to mom that day about me having to leave home to further my studies either abroad or at another state. My bro was already gone...doing enggineering some 300km south of where we live.
I told her..."when i'm gone...there'ill only be you dad and sis left.the house will be so empty"

my mom replied..
"when i was about 10yrs old, your grandparents loved to listen to a song about the pots. the song talks about a young couple..who at first had to cook just with a small pot..then their family grow..and grow...they had to upgrade from the small pot..to medium pot..then to a big sized pot...then..one day..one of the children got married...another left home for work in another town..and eventually..one after another..all the children left home...as for the pot...from the big size..it eventually went back to smaller size.At the end of the song..the couple..now old, lived alone in their house...all their children had left their 'nest'."

mom.."i never understood why your grandparents weep everytime they listen to that song...now..i understand why"

......

Maybe thats the circle of life...you start off with a small pot..then you get promoted to big pot..then you return to a small pot.

i wish i can freeze time.
