Salaamaleykum...
well i decided to add sumthing personal now.
Taraweeh...thats one prayer i dreaded alot when i was 15...and now...i wish it was a daily event.
during ramadhan..one eventful night...the imam was reading Sura'Waqiah..and he was cryng...no..correction..weeping!
I didnt know the topic of the sura' at that time..but when i got home..i checked it..sure enough..it would make anyone humble himself before his Lord..and weep like a small child begging for a lolly...only in this case...is a grown up..weeping for heaven.
Then..there was this Lailatul Qadr(27th Ramadhan)..even though my parents and i were sure Qadr night fell on the 25th Ramadhan considering the symptoms..heavy rain+foggy+early sunrise.
anyway on that 27th Ramadhan...there was along doa' after the taraweeh.i didnt cried as i expected to..i dont know why..i was probably disattracted with my thoughts.
Anyway...after the do'a there was a lil' bayan(lecture)...the Imaam talked about sumthing..then he made a joke (sorry..i cant explain..its a long story about how God rewards u for everything good u do..and its in Urdu)..and this Paki guy i know...smiled. the thing is..his smile gave such a glow of nur(light)..mashaAllah..that got to be one of the most beautiful smiles i've ever seen.He has heavy beard by the way.
And then..on the exit...while lining up for some food some people were giving away food as charity (am da'waat-mass meal?)..i saw the Turkish looking man smiling at his fren who was right in front of me.MashaAllah...yet another beautiful smile.
Well..i know many people at the masjeed..but hardly ever talk to them...
Anyway...seeing those smiles made me wonder how some people are graced with such a gift.SubhanAllah!
meanwhile...i do smile ..but will try to hide my teeth..due to some things:P
Anyway....MashaAlLAH to all those who smile with nur!
